Join Our Volunteer Team and Make a Difference!

 

At the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas, we believe that volunteers are the heart of our community. By giving your time and energy, you’ll not only help us create meaningful experiences but also strengthen connections within our community. Whether you're 15 years old or older, your compassion and support can truly make an impact!

What You’ll Need to Get Started:

  • All volunteers must be 15 years or older.

  • Volunteers 18 and older will be required to complete a background check.

  • All volunteers are required to complete an online volunteer training.

  • Simply complete the volunteer application, and you'll be on your way!

 

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Special Event Volunteers – Help make our events memorable by assisting with check-in, event set-up, tear-down, and offering general event support before and on the day of the event.

  • Program Volunteers – Support our programs by helping with registration, lunch set-up, and providing general assistance during the program.

  • Parent’s First Call Volunteer – If you’re a parent of a child with Down syndrome, you can make a huge difference by providing resources and support to new parents or those who have received a prenatal diagnosis. All volunteers for this program are required to attend training to ensure they’re ready to support others effectively.
